Shock and Awe-sum Takes 1 of 4 UL Safety Awards in the State and Earned a Spot at the World Championships!
Robots completely took over the Ryder Center at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) last week in the largest FIRST Robotics competition the state of Michigan has ever held! Now boasting 451 teams, Michigan has far and away more teams than any other state in the country.
Shock and Awe-sum Team #4961 is celebrating a tremendous finish in the FIRST STEAMWORKS District competitions at both Waterford Mott and Troy Athens high schools. With only one week of District competitions left, Almont is ranked 68 out of 451 Michigan teams!
We can’t believe build season has come to an end and the robot is bagged. After careful consideration, this year’s robot has been named Road Runner.
In week 5, Team 4961 worked harder than ever to ensure we’re ready for this year’s competition.
On Saturday, January 7th, Kickoff began. Even before the game was revealed at 10:30, the current team and alumni (about 50 people in total) gathered in our team’s robotics room to watch the reveal video.
